Brian Anthony Thompson, age 58, of Fort Pierce, Florida, formerly of Morehead, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his residence.
Born August 27, 1965, in Morehead, he is the son of Mary Jo Mynhier Thompson and the late Jack Thompson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Teresa Thompson Mason, who passed January 8, 2014.
Brian is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lynn Doull Thompson; two sons, Jack Anthony Thompson (Emily) of Midway, Georgia, and James Brett Thompson (Laila) of Vero Beach, Florida; two daughters, Emily Jane Justus (Anthony) of Vero Beach, Florida, and Bria Rose Thompson (Matthew) of Jacksonville, Florida; two stepchildren, Alexandra Cox Brown (Ethan) and Will Cox, all of Morehead; and eight grandchildren, Levi Beckett (Brittany), Logan Beckett (Shyla), Lindsey Lowe, Avery Gail Thompson, Addison Jane Thompson, Anthony Justus, Jr., Gaberielle Justus, and Kaiden Justus .
Other survivors include his mother, Mary Jo Mynhier Thompson; two brothers, J. R. Thompson and wife Angie and Lowell Thompson and wife Caryn; a brother-in-law, Dan Mason, all of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; his canine companions, Cobra and Winnie; and other extended family and many friends.
Brian started working at the family business at the age of 11, Thompson Tractor, and following his father's footsteps, he opened Brian Thompson Tractor Company in Fort Pierce, Florida, in 1994. He enjoyed boating, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He also loved visiting back home to Kentucky and spending time at the family farm in Elliott County. He will be greatly missed and always remembered with love.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Saundra Nathanson officiating.
Visitation is from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
