Obituary

Bobby Eugene Tackett, of Cranston Road, Morehead, husband of Donna Kay McCleese Tackett, left his physical life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, after a long battle against multiple aliments; 73 years after his birth on March 6, 1942. Bob worked as a salesman most of his professional life while spending his later years on the farm where he was raised. During his years in the corporate world, he worked diligently to support his family. Bob was a member of Adams-Plank Church and opened his home and heart to all those around him. In later years he led a Bible study at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Vanceburg. Besides his cherished wife Donna, Bob is survived by two sons and their wives, Charles Bruce (Gina) Tackett and Robert Ray (Yvonne) Tackett, all of Roanoke, Virginia; four grandchildren, Caraline Leia, Elijah Ray, Bryce Wesley, and Robert Andrew Tackett; sister, Margaret Black of Ft. Thomas; sisters and brothers by marriage, Dianna and Ralph Bartles and Delbert and Carolyn McCleese, all of Lewis County; half-brother, Billy Lawhun of Mansfield, Ohio; half-sister, Rita Raye of North Carolina; and countless nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mae Tackett; brother, Farrell Tackett; and sister, Bonnie Partin. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carlos Bowman and Greg Bowman officiating. Burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Charles Tackett, Robert Tackett, Stacy Schoff, Brandon McCleese, Carl Partin and Tony Partin. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
