Bobby Dee Hardin, age 77, of Morehead, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland after an extended illness. He was born August 7, 1937, in Morgan County, and was the son of the late Andrew Clayton Hardin and Deedie Sargent Hardin Lewis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon 'Sonny' Hardin, Billy Hardin, and Larry Hardin; two sisters, Bonnie Hardin Christy and Patricia Hardin Sergent; and one grandson, Ryan Hubbard. Bobby is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Thomas Hardin, whom he married June 14, 1958; four children, Teresa (Tim) Hughes of Dallas, Georgia, Tom (Lisa) Hardin of Brandenburg, Tony (Chris) Hardin of Versailles, and Kimberly (James) Stamper of Morehead. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Cassandra (Chris) Anderton, Jacob Hardin, Brandon Hubbard. and Emma Stamper, along with two great grandchildren: Brynlee Baxter and Aubrie Anderton. Also surviving are three sisters, Edith Sergent of Springfield, Ohio, Melva (Clarence) Crawford and Shirley (Oscar) Hood, all of Morehead; one brother, Johnny (Cindy) Hardin of Wallingford; several nieces and nephews; and cousins, extended family, and friends. Bobby was a retired auto body man and an avid outdoorsman who loved coon hunting and fishing. He treasured his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was baptized into Christ alongside his father Clayton in Dry Creek in 1965 and faithfully attended and served at the Clearfield Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. H.G. Pratt and Rev. Mike Parr officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Patrick Hardin, JJ Hardin, Jacob Hardin, Brian Hood, Darrell Crawford and Kevin Sturgill. Honorary Pallbearers: Ival Ison, Mike Collins, Glen Rawlins, Richard Phillips, Wilbur Jennings, Paul Conn, Clyde Thomas and Cecil Ison. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
