Bobby Ray Dehart, age 62, of Thornsberry Ridge Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born February 4, 1962, in Mt. Sterling, he is the son of Maxine Sloan Dehart of Morehead and the late James "Jimmy" L. Dehart. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kendil "Shannon" Dehart.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Willie Dehart of Olive Hill; one daughter, Erica Skeens (Mike Jones) of Morehead; one sister, Evelena Carpenter (Mickey Thornsberry) of Morehead; three grandsons, Kadyn "Jim Bob" Skeens, Jace "Skeeter" Skeens, and Moxon "Monk" Dehart; his companion of many years, Kristi Dehart; and other extended family and friends.

Bobby retired from the maintenance department of Morehead State University, where he'd worked for 33 years.  He was currently employed at the Morehead IGA. Bobby loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and visiting with friends talking about old times. He will be forever remembered and greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Trent Cemetery on Rainbow Road.

Pallbearers: Tim Thornsberry, Mickey Thornsberry, Richard Stamper, Kadyn Skeens, Jace Skeens, and Mike Jones.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
