Billy Ray Thurman, age 56, of Willow Lane, Wellington, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, Kentucky.
Born July 6, 1964, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Margaret Feltner Thurman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Donnie Thurman, Gary Thurman, and Robert Lee Thurman, Jr.
Billy is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Linda Peyton Thurman of Wellington, and their beloved daughter, Kaitlyn Thurman of Lexington, Kentucky.
He is also survived by a brother, John Thurman and wife Bonita of Leitchfield, Kentucky; two sisters, Kathy Stamper of Winchester, Kentucky, and Jean Parke of Ogden, Utah, as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Billy was a member of the Union City Baptist Church in Richmond, Kentucky. Known as a hard worker and everybody's friend, Billy loved to laugh and thoroughly enjoyed making others laugh too. He was the kindest and most gentle person who considered others before himself. He was an extremely loving and devoted husband and father whose family meant the world to him. And, he meant the world to his family who will cherish his memory forever.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Hale officiating.
COVID-19 mandates including masks and social distancing will be observed.
