Obituary

Billy Ray Lowe, age 71, of Mitchell Lane, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at his residence. Born June 26, 1942, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Clayton and Opal Adkins Lowe. Billy is survived by two daughters, Debra Hamm Manning of Hillsboro and her mother, Beulah Holbrook, of Morehead, and Sharon Sue Williams and husband Billy of Frenchburg and her mother, Connie Lowe, of Morehead; one step daughter, Lisa Stewart of Morehead; one half brother, Ronald Gene Lowe of California; one half sister, Carolyn Barnes of Morehead; step mother, Martha Lowe of Morehead; nine grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Joey Beamon, Casie Ratliff, Jessica Noble, Corey Hurst, Shaylen Farris, Jason Davis, Ashley Davis, and Tyler Davis; five great grandchildren, Jared, Natally, Eisac, Kolten, and Kody; and one step great grandson, Jackson. Billy served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967. He was a carpenter and former employee of Calvert's Garage and Perry's Hardware. Billy loved fishing, trap shooting, and family gatherings. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013, conducted at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Barry Manning, James Dixon, James Holbrook, Josh Catron, Lewis Lyon, Phil Day, and Kenny Adkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Hill, Will Quesinberry, Chad Lewis, Derek Lewis, Arnold Moore, and Larry Skaggs. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Thursday, December 12, 2013, after 4 p.m. Funeral: Friday, December 13, 2013, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
