Billy John Kissick, age 68, of Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Born October 24, 1942, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Harlan and Verna Caudill Kissick. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Kissick, and two half sisters, Elsie Spurlock and Ann Mayhall. His wife, Kathleen Jones Kissick, passed away November 1, 1988. He is survived by one son, William Michael Kissick and wife Jan Brown Kissick, of Midway, Kentucky; one grandson, Clark Kissick; one half brother, Glen Harris Kissick of Muncie, Indiana; and one half sister, Viola Palmer of Indianapolis, Indiana. Billy retired from J. C. Wells Lumber Company in Morehead after 27 years of service. He enjoyed collecting rare coins and currency, playing pool with his friends, and spending time with his grandson. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Allan Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Point Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Kissick, Mitchell Kissick, Jim Livingood, Jeff Jones, Shane Livingood, Tim Copher, Stephen Watson, and Jim Ed Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Thomas and David Daniels. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
