Obituary

Billie Williams, age 92, of Salt Lick, died peacefully Sunday, December 7, 2014, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospice Center in Lexington after a long illness. Born December 11, 1921, in Salt Lick, he was a son of the late Eugene and Bertha May Swim Williams. He is survived by six children: Bobby Williams of Port Richey, Florida, Darlene Pergram of Olympia, Judy Liechte of Cincinnati, Ohio, Billie Lavonne Conley of Winchester, Linda Lou Broughton of Salt Lick, and Delilia Linkous of Jeffersonville. Twelve grandchildren also survive, along with several great and great-great grandchildren. Billie was a proud World War II veteran and an active member of the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. He was a retired logger, farmer, and U. S. Forestry Service worker. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Harry Flannery officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Salt Lick with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Legion members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Tuesday, December 9, 2014, from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, December 9, 2104, at 2 p.m. Interment: Williams Cemetery
