Billie Joe Plank, age 77, of Cranston Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday morning, March 14, 2017, at his residence. Born February 22, 1940, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Luke Plank and Eula Mae Clark Plank. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Joe Plank on April 17, 2010, and one sister, Naomi Sue Plank on June 24, 2007. Billie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Berchie Stamm Plank, whom he married March 28, 1959; two sons, Keith Wayne Plank of Morehead and Billie Joe Plank II and wife Brandi of Owingsville; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one step great grandchild. Also surviving are three sisters, Judy Meadows, Nancy Lambert, and Sarah Jane and Ken Howard all of Morehead; six brothers, Donnie and Anna Mary Plank, Jackie and Sandra Plank, Dallas Plank, Rodney and Terry Plank, and Nicky Plank, all of Morehead, and Gary and Fredia Plank of Vanceburg, as well as nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was the owner and operator of Bill's Body Shop and formerly worked at Midland Trail Garage and Larry Fannin's Chevrolet. Billie enjoyed farming, gardening, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He attended the Adams Plank Enterprise Church. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carlos Bowman, Bro. Randy Wagoner, and Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Plank Cemetery. Pallbearers: Cody Plank, Logan Lovely, Bo Lambert, Tim Donahue, Nathan Plank, Greg Stamm, and Carey Jones.
