Beverly Sue 'Susie' Day Taylor, 61, of West Main Street, Morehead, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 6, 1954, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, she is the daughter of James 'Jim' Day and Madge A. Thomas Elliott, both of Morehead. In addition to her parents, Susie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Steven Douglas Taylor, whom she wed December 15, 1973, and their children, Carie Dawn Faulkner and husband Josh of Stanford, Steven Douglas Taylor Jr. and wife Tonya of Morehead, Aizhan Taylor and Hannah Taylor, both at home; and four granddaughters, Brionna and Isabella Taylor and Paige and Emma Kate Faulkner. Other survivors include a brother, Jay Day and wife Teresa of Morehead; a sister, Khristy Day Kahrig and husband Jason of Russell; nieces and nephews; extended family; and dear friends. A sister, Pamela Ann Day Dillon, preceded her in death on July 10, 2015. Susie graduated from Rowan County High School and received a bachelor's degree from Morehead State University. She was an administrative assistant for more than twenty years, first at Rowan County Board of Education and later at Morehead State University. Always passionate about family, Susie had boundless love for her husband Steve, their children and grandchildren and was the recipient of their unselfish devotion and love. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and Grammy, Susie was known as a compassionate, selfless person who thought of others before herself. A devout Christian, she was a member of Morehead First Church of God. A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Morehead First Church of God with Pastor Allan Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jason Jones, Todd Butler, Adam Butler, Andrew Dillon, Jared Taylor, and Chris Cooper. Visitation is 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morehead First Church of God.
