Betty Jo Peal DeNune, age 80, of Oak Grove Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016, at the home of her daughter. Born July 16, 1936, in Marmet, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Calvin C. and Mary Agnes Spainhour Peal. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin C. 'Buzzy' Peal and Richard Lynn 'Dickie' Peal, and her husband, Richard A. DeNune, who passed away in 1996. Mrs. DeNune is survived by one son, Dana Totten of Poulsbo, Washington; one daughter, Melody Moore of Morehead; and one sister, Christine Ballard of Kenova, West Virginia. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Andrew Totten, Justin Totten, Melissa Brown, Tristan Moore, and Molly Moore, and seven great grandchildren, Nick Torento, Brittany Wood, Amanda Wood, Bradley Moore, Vicki Moore, Jazmine Brown, and Carter Totten. She enjoyed bowling, camping, and traveling. At Betty Jo's request, no visitation or services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
