Betty June Hamm Carpenter, age 80, of Clearfield, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at the Life Care Center of Morehead. Born June 7, 1933, in Clearfield, she was a daughter of the late Johnny and Flora Amburgey Hamm. Besides her parents, one brother, Charles Leon Hamm, preceded her in death. Betty's husband of 48 years, Floyd Lenix 'Pat' Carpenter, passed away October 9, 2000. She is survived by one son, Dale Lenix Carpenter of Clearfield; one daughter, Anita Kay Carpenter Halupowski and husband David of Valparaiso, Florida; and two grandchildren, Heather Dawn Self and Marie Elizabeth Odom. Other survivors include four sisters, Virginia Reynolds and husband Ivan and Joline Bentley and husband Sanford, all of Clearfield, Peggy Miller of Anderson, Indiana, and Marie Reddecliff and husband Richard of Indian Trail, North Carolina; two brothers, Gene Hamm and wife Margaret and Pete Hamm and wife Mary, all of Clearfield; very special friend, Ernest Wilson; nieces; nephews; extended family members and friends. Betty was a homemaker and former employee of Cowden Mfg. Company. She enjoyed country and Christian music, traveling and the great outdoors, and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Pastor Gary McQuain officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Visitation is 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
