Betty Lou Alley Stewart, 74, of Sardinia, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, at her home. Born December 9, 1935, at Farmers, Kentucky, in Rowan County, she is the daughter of Catherine Hamilton Alley of Buford, Ohio, and the late Sherman Clayton Alley. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Joseph -Joe- Stewart, and one son, Byron Wayne Stewart. Besides her mother, Mrs. Stewart is survived by two sons, William (Jerri) Stewart of Winchester, Ohio, and Brian (Kara) Stewart of Buford, Ohio; one daughter, Sandy Stewart of Buford, Ohio; and four grandchildren: Angel Jo, Rebecca, Jacob and Emili. Mrs. Stewart was a teacher in several schools in the Sardinia, Ohio, area. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ben Furman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday, May 17, 2010, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Sardinia-Mowrystown Lions and Lioness Club.
