Betsy Shirlynn Johnson McKinney, 53, of Roxanne Street, Clearfield, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born May 28, 1968, in Morehead, she was the daughter of the late Russell Delbert Johnson and Betty June Binion Johnson of Olive Hill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Kyle McKinney, and two brothers, David Johnson and Steve Johnson.

Betsy is survived by one son, Brandon Joe McKinney of Morehead; three brothers, Ray (Pam) Johnson of Bellville, Ohio, Jerry (Dedra) Johnson of Morehead, and Billy (Marilyn) Johnson of Olive Hill; one sister, Lisa (Ricky) Tackett of Olive Hill; a sister-in-law, Alice Johnson of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.

Betsy was a former phlebotomist and was a born-again Christian. She was also a dedicated volunteer for many years at Christian Social Services in Morehead. Betsy was an outgoing, friendly person who never met a stranger and enjoyed going to yard sales.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
