Bertha Jones Wallace, age 71, of Upper Lick Fork, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born February 9, 1936, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Lola Gregory Jones of Clearfield, Kentucky, and the late Millard Jones. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Henry Cleveland Wallace; two sons, James Wallace and Donna and Anthony Wallace and Sherry, of Clearfield, Kentucky; four brothers, Eugene Jones, Cleo Jones, Glenn Jones, and Clarence Jones, of Clearfield, Kentucky; one sister, Letha Cox of Morehead, Kentucky; four granddaughters, Crystal Derrickson, Amie Adkins, Kayla Wallace, and Kindra Wallace; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Lynn Derrickson and Cainan James Kegley; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wallace was a homemaker, a former employee of Cox-s Fruit Market, and a member of Slab Camp Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Herbie Lewis, Rev. Carlos Bowman, and Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery on Jones Ridge. Pallbearers will be Jason Martin, Ervin Kegley, Jr., Randall Cox, Scottie Wallace, Doug Wallace, Virgil Brown, Danny Mullins, Terry Wallace, Brian Derrickson, and Randall Rogers.
