Berniece Greer Stacy, age 79, of Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. Born January 24, 1932, in Artesia, New Mexico, she was the daughter of the Carl Houston Greer and Delphia Ivans Greer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Frances Stacy, on March 8, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Betty Thompson, Doris Cantrell, and Elizabeth Sheffield,;and two brothers, Sonny and Dwight Greer. Mrs. Stacy is survived by four daughters, Gloria Ann (Robert) Thompson of Sarasota, Florida, Karen Elaine (Donnie) Helterbrand of Morehead, Kentucky, Sherry Frances (Danny) Doyle of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Elizabeth Darlene Fulp of Rockingham, North Carolina ; one son, Jimmy Dean (Beverly) Stacy of Morehead, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, Jason Matthew Thompson, Christopher Brian Webb, David Ryan Webb, Frankie James Stacy, Korie James Stacy, Daniel Quentin Doyle, Anthony Toby Glover, Dustyn Gage Doyle, Bryan Cody Swails, Houston Paul Swails, and Chelsie Grace Swails; and 6 great grandchildren, Savannah Marie Thompson, Maya Adrienne Thompson, Haley Poe, Makayla C0ristian Webb, Alissa Jordan Webb, and Tyler Blayne Webb. Other survivors include three sisters, Charlotte Carriker and Mayme Ruth Greer, both of Ellerbe, North Carolina, and Charlene Fletcher of Washington State. Mrs. Stacy was a homemaker, former co-owner of Stacy Grocery, and former member of the 377 Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Carlos Bowman and Brother Dustyn Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Plank Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Doyle, Jason Thompson, Brian Webb, Toby Glover, David Webb, and Robert Thompson. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Tuesday, December 6, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Adams-Plank Cemetery
