Bernice Louise Prince Mabry, age 78, of Rawcel Heights, Morehead, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 28, 2026, at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 19, 1947, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Prince and Dixie Crum Prince. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; and her beloved son, Anthony Mabry, who passed on February 24, 2026.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Clyde Ray Mabry, whom she wed March 31, 1967; one devoted daughter and her husband, Anita and Charlie Tyra of Mount Sterling, KY; two special granddaughters. Amber Murphy and husband Logan and Andrea Thomas and husband Tyler; and one cherished great-grandson, Mason Murphy, all of Mount Sterling, Kentucky.

Other survivors include three sisters, Marlene Pankotaz of Morehead, Kentucky, Geraldine Read of Anderson, Indiana, and Clara Ramsey of Ypsilanti, Michigan; nieces and nephews, extended family, including her church family, and many friends who will cherish her memory.

Bernice was a loyal member of Sharkey Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was always eager to participate in church activities and lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. For many years, she was a dedicated machine operator at Cowden’s Manufacturing. In her free time, Bernice enjoyed making delicious fudge, visiting yard sales, and spending time with family and friends.

Her faith and family were at the center of Bernice’s life. She was faithful in her daily walk with the Lord and cherished every opportunity to make special memories with those she loved. Her kindness, devotion, and loving spirit will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Harley Sexton, Jr. and Pastor Elijah Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Thomas, Logan Murphy, Charlie Tyra, Elijah Sexton, Stuart Read, and Johnny Wilson.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
