Berkley Franklin -Buck- Hall, age 72, of State Highway 1662, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 02, 2009, at his residence. Born July 18, 1937, in Carter County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Stewart and Myrtle Kiser Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Clement, Finley, Artle, Courtney, Daryl, and Quinten Hall, and three sisters, Gladys Crawford, Versailla Hall, and Corinthia Hall. Buck is survived by his wife, Joan Back Hall, whom we married on March 23, 1962; one son, Stewart Hall and wife Norma of Lexington, Kentucky; one daughter, Lori Ann Nock and husband Tom of LaPlata, Maryland; one sister, Victoria -Skippy- Scrimshaw and husband Buck of Spokane, Washington; and six grandchildren, Sarah Nock, Kristen Nock, Bradley Nock, Amanda Hall, Heather Hall, and Amber Langley. Buck was a former General Refractories employee for 18 years and retired from Walker Construction Company after 10 years as foreman. He was a member of the Olive Hill Masonic Lodge No. 629, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of the El Hasa Shrine Temple in Ashland, Kentucky. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, working puzzles, and spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Butch Kelsey and Dallas Fraley officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers will be Johnny Back, J. R. Back, Brent Back, Joey Back, Gary Back, Randy Fritz, and Dick Counts. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Wednesday, November 4, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 1 p.m. Interment: Garvin Ridge Cemetery
