Obituary

Bennie Ray Marler, Sr., age 70, of Frontier Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013, at his residence. Born October 3, 1942, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charles Milton and Lola Stevens Marler of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Lorene Eldridge Marler, whom he married May 17, 1976; one son, Bennie Ray Marler, Jr., of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Lori Rae Marler and Gregory Saggese of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Johnny Marlowe and wife Alta of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Marler and Lucette Marlow of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Benny Ray was a former truck driver and member of the East End Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ray Glover and Bro. Jerry Maschino officiating. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Stevens Cemetery at Sand Springs in Rockcastle County. Pallbearers: Tony Barnette, Eli Gorman, Marcus Coursin, Ben Marler, Jr., Greg Saggese, John Sparks and Jameson Skaggs. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351. Visitation: Monday, January 14, 2013, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Interment: Stevens Cemetery, Sand Springs, Rockcastle County, KY
