Beatrice Hazel Sparks Easton, age 86, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. She was born October 5, 1925, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Wyona Lewis Sparks. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Monnie Castle, Dixie Burch, Dorothy Bradley, and Jannie Sparks, and two brothers, Buel Sparks and Frank Sparks. Her husband, Emerson Easton, whom she married April 27, 1943, passed away December 15, 1985. Also, a son, Bobby Joe Easton; a granddaughter, Sarah Marie Easton; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Marlow, preceded her in death. Bea is survived by four children, Billy Emerson Easton (Cindy) of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Betty June Marlow of Salt Lick, Kentucky; Sue Hogge (Myron) of Ashland, Kentucky, and Beverly Kaye Thacker (Rick) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Gail Easton of Salt Lick, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Other survivors include two brothers, Noel Sparks (Rachel) of Muncie, Indiana, and James Sparks (Brenda) of Morehead, Kentucky, and many nieces and nephews. Bea was employed by Cowden Manufacturing for 16 years and Hecks for 10 years. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Hogge Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bryan Marlow, Brad Marlow, Shawn Easton, Mark Hogge, Chris Easton, Chad Cochran, Chase Thacker, and Cody Thacker.
