Beatrice Long, age 100, of N. Tolliver Avenue, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born November 14, 1912, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Telia Litteral. Her husband, Eddie Long, preceded her in death in 1978. Bea is survived by one nephew, Gary Rice of Oil Springs, Kentucky, and a very special friend, Walt Cassity of Morehead, Kentucky. Bea was a businesswoman, extensive land owner, and licensed cosmetologist in Kentucky and Ohio. She was also a cosmetology instructor and operated the Morehead Beauty Academy for several years. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 7 - 9 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky, and Friday, January 11, 2013, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home in Paintsville, Kentucky. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Paintsville Funeral Home with her nephew, Gary Stephen Rice, officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
