Barbara Jean Reynolds Romans, age 66, of Fraley Road, Salt Lick, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Born January 18, 1958, in Morehead, she was a daughter of the late Tott Reynolds and Betty Jean Pelfrey Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Junior Lee Romans in 2020; a son, Michael Shawn Romans in 2014; three sisters, Jane Reynolds and Mary Aileen Reynolds Purnell, and Donna Carol Reynolds Moore; and her mother and father-in-law, William and Ethel Yates Romans.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Zackery Romans and wife Clydea, MicKayla Brian McClintock and husband Nick, Michael Shawn Romans, Jr. and wife Jaleysa, and Alexzander, and 10 great grandchildren, Myra Romans, Lilia Griffith, Kayden Romans, Melanie Romans, Lucas Romans, Jude Romans, Fern Romans, Cyrus Lakey, Asher Romans, and Juddson Romans.
Other survivors include three sisters, Dottie Romans of Salt Lick, Debbie Law (Don) of Salt Lick, and Joy Shy (David) of Farmers; daughter-in-law, Julie Lofton Romans; brother-in-law, Glenn Moore; a host of nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Barbara was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed working in her flowers, painting, listening to music, especially Rob Thomas, cooking, and caring for her loved ones. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Barbara had a heart of gold. She will be remembered, cherished, and loved forever. A special thank you to St. Claire Hospice for the excellent care Barbara received.
Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Carey Cemetery (100 Cemetery Road, Morehead, KY 40351) with Pastor Mark Caldwell officiating. Pallbearers will be Darrell Romans, David Davis, Jonas Reynolds, Zakkary Romans, Glenn Moore, and Brock Moore.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
