Barbara Ann Lawson Gregory, age 70, of McBrayer Road, Clearfield, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her home.
Born August 5, 1951, in Grayson, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Estil and Hazel Henderson Lawson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Rose Benner, Lucretia Miller, Frankie Conn, and Glenna Ratcliff, and four brothers, William Lawson, Timmy Lawson, Clerance Lawson, and Ralph Lawson. Barbara was also preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Archer, the father of her children, on March 18, 2008, and her second husband, Eugene Joseph "Gene" Gregory, on June 15, 2021.
Barbara is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Charlie) Messer of Wallingford and Amber Archer of Clearfield; one stepdaughter, Barbara Bryant of Monterey, Tennessee; one sister, Debbie (Patrick) Yarber of Olive Hill; one brother, Donald (Bonnie) Lawson of Bolt, West Virginia; five grandchildren, Edward Stephens III, Tiffani Stephens, Rebekkah Sedam, Bryan Sedam, and Kristopher Sedam; four step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two close friends, Trish Puckett and Jenny Messer.
Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed watching the game show network, Days of Our Lives, and Little House on the Prairie. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Elijah Sexton, Pastor Jared DeAtley, and Edward Stephens III officiating. Burial will follow in Stevens Cemetery on May Road.
Visitation for Barbara Gregory will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all contributions be made payable to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with funeral expenses.
