Barbara Castles Bowman, age 82, of Hester Ridge Road, Wallingford, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at UK-St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

She was the born October 18, 1942, in Vermont, and was the daughter of the late Sherwood Castles and Mildred Teetsel Castles.

Barbara is survived by her husband, George Bowman, Jr.; one son, George Bowman III of Georgia; three daughters, Diane Bailey of Wallingford, Elizabeth Rodriguez of West Plains, Missouri, and Faith Meta of Paris, California; and eight grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and a former secretary at Faith Christian School in California. Barbara enjoyed quilting, sewing, feeding the birds, and caring for her special black Lab, "Harry". She was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered always and greatly missed.

At her request, there will be no services planned.
