Barbara Jean Boggs, age 69, of Ypsilanit Township, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Michigan with her loving family at her side. She was born November 1, 1948, in Morehead, the daughter of Fredro "Teddy" and Josephine Rose Black Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jenny Conley and Ella Mae Copher. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Eldon Gay Boggs, whom she married February 1, 1969; three daughters, Angela (Joseph) Duperon, Cherilyn (Gary) Tafoya and Heather (Charles) Way; seven grandchildren, Tiffany (Nicholas) McLaughlin, Joseph (Leah) Duperon IV, Tristan Tafoya, Lauryn Tafoya, Charrah Way, Spencer Way and Brinlee Way; one great granddaughter, Ava Duperon; siblings, Fred (Marilyn) Brown, Paul (Carolyn) Brown and Jody (Jeff) Weaver; a special uncle, J.C. Black; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boggs was an active member of Victorious Life Church of God for 45 years where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She will always be remembered for her love of family and cooking. The family will receive friends at Janowiak Funeral Home, Ypsilanti Chapel on Thursday, March 15, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 7: 30 p.m. with Brother Ron Moore of Victorious Life Church of God delivering a closing prayer. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Dr., Morehead, Kentucky, with Pastor Tracy Fannin of End Time Harvest Church, Clearfield, KY officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 10:00 am till time of service.
