Aves Corene Staton Caudill, age 78, of Ellington Loop, Morehead, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019, at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville.

Born October 20, 1940, in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late James Paul Staton and Georgia Ann Bair Staton.  In addition to her parents, Corene was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Junior "Sach" Caudill, who passed away November 13, 2017.

She is survived by one son, Larry David Ellington and his wife Brenda Kay, and three grandchildren.

Corene retired from Morehead State University as a head cook in the MSU Cafeteria.  She enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time with her family, and taking care of her kitty cats.

At her request, no services will be conducted.
