Audrey Jean Eldridge Black, age 90, of Morehead, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Audrey was born on August 25, 1933, in Morehead, Kentucky, to the late Simon and Goldie Eldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Clay Black; four children, Charlotte Lois Stidom, Shirley Mae Black, Kathy Jean Black, and Billy Ray Black; and four brothers, Raymond Eldridge, Simon Eldridge, Teddy Eldridge, and Joe Eldridge.

She is survived by one son, Danny Marvin Black, of Morehead, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jessica (Richard) Dixon of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Kyle (Kellie) Stidom of Centennial, Colorado; and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Dixon of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Crew Stidom of Centennial, Colorado.

Audrey was a faithful and loving wife for 69 years. She was well known for her homemade biscuits, which she began making at 8 years old as well as her homemade dumplings. Audrey worked extremely hard to serve her friends and family, and she loved spending time in her garden, canning, doing word searches, and reading her Bible. She was a constant in her church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her hospitality and love for her family, friends, and community knew no bounds.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jack Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Caudill Cemetery on Sharkey Road.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 4035.
