Obituary

Aubrey Lee Little, age 59, of Cranston Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012, at his residence following a long hard battle with cancer. Born July 5, 1953, in Adams County, Ohio, he was a son of the late Samuel and Essie (Plank) Little. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille (Little) Kinder. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Eva Jane (Brown) Little, whom he married July 16, 1971; two children, Missy (Mike) Colgan and Megan Little-Clay, both of Morehead; four grandchildren, Haleigh Eldridge, Carleigh Colgan, Audrey Clay and Bentley Colgan. Other survivors include two brothers, Vernon (Katie) Little of Muncie, Indiana, and Rick (Connie) Little of Morehead, Kentucky; four sisters, Pauline Pugh of Milton, Indiana, Eveline Caudill, Geraldine (Butch) Kelsey, Judy (Jack) Gulley, all of Morehead, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Aubrey began his carpentry career at the age of 16. Becoming self-employed in 1988, he started his own company, Little's Building and Remodeling, and was well known for his work. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, going to flea markets and auctions. Aubrey was a very generous and caring man who would give the shirt off his own back to someone in need. Also one of the most honest people in the world, Aubrey instilled those values into his children. He will be lovingly remembered by those whose lives he touched. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Cecil Ison, Pastor Allan Hutchinson and Rev. Don Mantooth officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Jackie Plank, Billy Plank, Gary Plank, Richard Spivey, John Northcutt, Gerald Saunders. Honorary pallbearers: Ronnie Little, Orville Little, Paul Little, Jackie Little, Denzil and Dallas Fraley; special friend, Denny Northcutt; and past employees and subcontractors. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. At Aubrey's request, contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Aubrey Little Cancer Fund set up at any US Bank. Visitation: Monday, December 10, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
