Arthur Brooks Hamilton, age 77, of Elk Lick Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. He was born April 28, 1935, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Mitchell and Vina Plank Helterbrand. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harrison Johnson and Donnie Ray Helterbrand, and one sister, Betty McCleese. Brooks is survived by three brothers, George Helterbrand, Howard Helterbrand, and Milton Helterbrand, all of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Sandra French of Louisville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Brooks was a former employee of Aspen Tree Service and Ray L. White Lumber Company. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Cephas Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Plank Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Webb, Ott Stacy, Wesley Helterbrand, Jim Hosier, Eddie French, and Stevie Helterbrand. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Helterbrand, Dallas Fraley, Harry Gulley, Richard Helterbrand, and Charles Stacy.
