Anthony Allen Butler, age 57, of McKinney Cemetery Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at his home following an extended illness.
Born September 11, 1968, in Morehead, Allen was a son of the late Carl Everett "Biggs" Butler and Glenna Kay Reynolds Butler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda McKinney, and one brother, Brian Scott Butler.
Allen is survived by his significant other, Cindy Sargent of Morehead; three daughters, Tosha Lee and her husband Billy and Aleshia Oakes and her husband Taylor, all of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Kacy Butler of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, Larry Butler and his wife Kasidy of New Braunfels, Texas, and Travis Butler and his wife Cassidy of Nicholasville; and two cherished grandchildren, Oliver Butler and Amara Butler.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Jeffrey Butler and his wife Donna of Olive Hill, Frankie Butler and his wife Jill of Morehead, and Daniel Butler of Clearfield; one sister, Melissa Butler of Morehead; a brother-in-law, Terry McKinney of Morehead; a special friends, Darryl Brown and Lee Dupuy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Allen was a former lineman for Elliott Construction. He had a deep love for history, animals, and antiques and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, mechanical work, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses of St. Claire Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rober Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Lee Dupuy, Joe Stapleton, Travis Butler, Jeff Butler, Frankie Butler, and Briar Butler.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
