Annie Myrtle Burton DeWitt, age 81, of KY 519, Morehead, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015, at Baptist Hospital in La Grange. She was born March 15, 1934, in Elliott County, a daughter of the late Henry Arthur Burton and Dora Waddell Burton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Ottis DeWitt, who passed away September 17, 1977; two sons, Henry Thomas DeWitt and Ernest DeWitt; one daughter, Kathleen DeWitt; and twelve brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence DeWitt and wife Connie of Morehead and Leonard DeWitt of Crestwood; two daughters, Linda DeWitt of Crestwood and Billie Jo DeWitt of Salt Lick; one brother, Clifford Burton and wife Dixie of Morehead; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Mrs. DeWitt was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Brad Bennington officiating. Burial will follow in Adams-Plank Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lawrence DeWitt, Jason DeWitt, Leonard DeWitt, Ken Gillie, Ernest Burton, and Paul Caskey.
