Obituary

Anna Jennette Black Meredith, age 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Rowan County, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008, at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. She was born February 5, 1934, in Haldeman, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Milzia and Geneva Sturgill Black. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Sue Black and Betty Jo Douglas, and one brother, Ronnie Lee Black. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Sharp of New Albany, Indiana; one granddaughter, Chaney Jacobson of Sellersburg, Indiana; five sisters, Shirley Coyle of Morehead, Kentucky, Kitty Cross of McDonald, Ohio, Debra Cundiff and Carolyn Brown, both of Soldier, Kentucky, and Teresa Conn of Girard, Ohio; and two brothers, James Willie Black of Girard, Ohio, and Charles Phillip Black of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Mrs. Meredith was a retired employee of the American Tobacco Company. Graveside services and burial will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at New Sill Cemetery with Brother Gayle Price officiating. Pallbearers will be Roger Brown, Nick Jacobson, Kevin Brown, Brian Brown, Phillip Black, Steve Cundiff, and John Liles. There will be a private family visitation at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Private family visitation. Funeral: Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at 2 p.m. Interment: ew Sill Cemetery
