Obituary

Anna Mae Day, age 87, of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Trinity Village, Milwaukee, WI. Anna was born March 16, 1925, in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Willie and Drew Johnson Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rennie I. Day, who passed away March 16, 1985, and her infant daughter, Geraldine. Survivors include her son, Richard (Emily) Day of Racine, WI; her grandchildren, Richard L. Day II, Heidi J. (Cornelius) Simmons, all of Racine, WI; her two great-grandchildren, Nolan Day, Cornelius -CJ- Simmons Jr.; sisters, Hazel (Delbert) Ramey, Wanda (Ira) Hudnall, all of OH, Susan (John) Chullen of Benton, IL; sisters-in-law, Etta Mae Brown of Morehead, KY, Dessie (Don) Adams of AZ,; special niece, Diane Wade; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Anna was an active and devoted member serving the Lord at the Racine Baptist Temple. In her younger years she enjoyed quilting. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Michael Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Roll Alfrey Cemetery at Mt. Hope in Rowan County, KY. Visitation is from noon until 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Tuesday, June 5, 2012, from noon - 3 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 3 p.m. Interment: Roll Alfrey Cemetery, Mt. Hope, Kentucky
