Anna Mae Banks Kiser, age 68, of Ventor Avenue, Morehead, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at her residence. Born April 15, 1949, in Olentangy, Ohio, Anna was the daughter of the late Ivan and Willa Marie Evans Banks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wallen Kiser on October 1, 2003; one son, Joseph Kiser on January 17, 2005; and two brothers, Chuck and Sammy Holcomb. Mrs. Kiser is survived by one son, Jonathan Kiser of West Liberty; three grandchildren, Montana Brooke Kiser, Morgan Jo Kiser, and Crystal Bradley; extended family and friends. Anna and her mother owned and operated Marie's Sewing & Hemming in Columbus, Ohio; later moved to Indiana; and in the mid 70's moved to Morehead. She was a former sales clerk in the craft department at the Morehead Wal-Mart and continued to sew for others in her home until she retired in 2003. She was a member of the Sharkey Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church, sewing, making porcelain dolls, sock monkeys, cooking, baking, and flower gardening. At her request, there will be no visitation and private services for the family will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
