Anita Gund White, age 78, born June 23, 1944, in Dresden, Germany, to the late Heman Gund and Anna and Erwin Heid, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at home with family by her side.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. "Tommy" White; three children, Joey, Michelle, and Ralf Hillebrand; two brothers, Gerhard and Karl Heinz Gund; one sister, Charlotte Heid; and a son-in-law, Bruce Carter.

She is survived by one sister, Illona Heid of Morehead; one son, Larry Hillebrand of Louisville; one daughter, Derita Carter of Campton; two granddaughters, Adrienne (Zachary) Coe of Owingsville, and Tobi Caudill of Salt Lick; one grandson, JoJo Shaffner of Morehead; four great grandchildren, Anna Brock and Zeke Brock, both of Owingsville, Emmie Carter of Campton, and Caden Shaffner of Morehead; special friends she considered like family, Tori Smedley and her children, Taylor, Adrianna, and Hudson, Ursula Lutz, all of Ohio, and Lisa Avery and Wesley Allen, both of Paris, Kentucky.

Anita gave selflessly and loved unconditionally. She always put her children and grandchildren first, especially Adrienne whom she raised and was her baby.  Anita and Tommy were the owners of Whites Hardware and enjoyed spending time with family and her dog Denver. Anita will be greatly missed.

At her request, a private visitation will be held for family. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
