Anita Kay Cundiff Davis, age 45, of Crix Ridge Spur, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011, at her home after an extended illness. Born March 9, 1966, in Muncie, Indiana, she is the daughter of James Larry and Clydia Sue Workman Cundiff of Clearfield, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, Anita is survived by her husband, Jonathan Mark Davis, whom she married March 23, 1985; and two sons, Jonathan Taylor Davis and James Michael Davis, both at home. She is also survived by paternal grandmother, Mary Bowman Cundiff of Clearfield, Kentucky; maternal grandmother, Loretta Phillips Workman of Selma, Ohio; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Fultz Davis of Morehead, Kentucky; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Arnold Cundiff; maternal grandfather, Clyde Workman; and father-in-law, Jerrild Davis. Anita graduated from Rowan County High School in 1984 and received an Associate Degree in Horticulture from Morehead State University. An employee at MSU for nearly ten years, Anita-s last position was serving as secretary in Student Housing. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Hayes Crossing-Haldeman Fire Department and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and volunteering at school. Anita was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and daughter. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Moore, Rev. H. G. Pratt, and Rev. Herbert D. Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowman Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian Caudill, Stephen Caudill, Don Workman, Ryan Morgan, Tim Davis, and Bryan Grigsby. Honorary Pallbearers: Mitch Workman, Daniel Grigsby, Billy Caudill, Danny Jent, Luke Garvin, Russell Workman, Jr., and Daniel Ingles. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
