Angia Pernell Jones Walker, age 90, of Morgan Fork Road, Morehead, went home to be with Lord on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.

Born March 4, 1934, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Pernell and Nora Hamilton Pernell. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lona L. Jones; two sons, Tony Jones and Timothy Jones; two grandchildren, Anthony Jones and Angel Jones; and seven siblings, Dennis, Billy, Opal, Zona, Dorothy, Faye, and Sylvia.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Ann Johnson of Clearfield, Jean Whobrey (Larry) of Pomeroy, Ohio, and Bessie Debra Hamm (Charlie) of Morehead; five grandchildren, Scott Whobrey, Kevin Whobrey, Brandon Hamm, Veronica Jones-Conley, and Lisa Dartt; and numerous great grandchildren.

Other survivors include three brothers, James Pernell, Willis Pernell, and Russell Pernell, all of Ohio; one sister, Wilma Rice of Wise, Virginia; several nieces and nephews, as well as other extended family and friends.

Angia was a homemaker and was a former aide for St. Claire Regional Medical Center Home Health. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing, crafting, and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with son-in-law Brother Charlie Hamm officiating.  Burial will follow in Pernell Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Scott Whobrey, Brandon Hamm, Ricky Smith, Randy Smith, Aiden Jones, Ed Stacy, and David Bowling.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
