Andy Morgan Cooper, age 90, of Clearfork Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. He was born October 3, 1927, at Cranston, KY, in Rowan County, a son of the late Tommy and Martha Stigall Cooper. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Knabe Cooper, who passed away October 26, 2007; one son, Charlie Ray Cooper; one great grandson, Seth Taylor; one sister, Dorothy Davis; and two brothers, Charlie Cooper and William Cooper. Andy is survived by one son, Andy Lee Cooper and his wife Mindy of Morehead; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired machine operator, and a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Stigall Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Tackett officiating. Morehead American Legion Post 126 will present full military honors and serve as pallbearers.
