Andrew Samuel -Andy- Burton, age 83, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Fountain Circle in Winchester, Kentucky. He was born February 24, 1927, in Rowan County, Kentucky, son of the late Pierce and Dovie Sloan Burton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Burton, George Burton, and Ramson Burton, and four sisters, Beulah Burton, Catherine Hall, Maudie Hamm, and Bertha Booth. Andy is survived by three brothers, Willie Burton and his wife Eula of Muncie, Indiana, Avery Burton of Jacksonville, Florida, and Victor Burton of Florence, Arizona; one sister-in-law, Thelma Burton of Senatobia, Mississippi; and nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Mary Stacy and Mary Jane Crank of Morehead, Kentucky. He also leaves behind a host of special friends and caregivers at Fountain Circle, Winchester, Kentucky. Andy was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a former employee of Mansfield Trucking in Mansfield, Ohio. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially wildlife, and loved the harvest of gardening. Funeral services will be conducted 4 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Rick Crank officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams-Plank Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers: Roy Burton, Cliff Stacy, John Hamm, Jr., Gerald Staton, Rubon Click, and Joseph Overburg. Honorary pallbearers: Willie Stacy, Ottis Stacy, Rocky Stacy and 377 Volunteer Firefighters Visitation is Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, May 29, 2010, at 4 p.m. Interment: Adams-Plank Cemetery
