Alvin Wayne Clark, age 83, of Morehead, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 27, 1934, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Jack and Dorothy Pauley Clark. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Marie Clark; a granddaughter, Darlene Marie Clark; three sisters, Inez Waltz, Eula Plank, and Thelma Ruth Branham; and two brothers, Clyde Clark and Kenneth Clark. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Mauk Clark, whom he married September 3, 1955; one son, Raymond L. Clark and wife Clara Lee of San Francisco, California; one brother, Elmer Rutherford Clark of Fleming County; one sister, Norma Archer of Morehead; one granddaughter, Christina Maria Clark; several nieces and nephews; and friends. Wayne retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio, after 32 years of service and worked for Gray Construction Company for seven years. He was a member of Farmers Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead with the Rev. Billy Noble officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jackie Plank, Rodney Plank, Dallas Plank, Donnie Plank, Nick Plank, Gary Plank, Mark Clark, and Zach Hughes.
