Alta Caudill Spurlock, age 68, of Triplett Street, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky. Born February 28, 1944, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Audra Mae Puckett Caudill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cleveland Spurlock, who passed away August 21, 1998. She is survived by two daughters, Ruby Leanna KelseyTurner and husband Thomas and Tammy Roseberry and husband Jerry, all of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother and two sisters; Ray Caudill, Ruby Caudill and Sally Netherly, all of Morehead, Kentucky; two grandsons, Vernon Eugene Kelsey and Willie Leon Scott; three granddaughters, Melanie Diana Grace Kelsey, Audra Ellen Scott, and Selina Charles. Mrs. Spurlock owned and operated a mini-home for a number of years and was a member of Salt Lick First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lambert and Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial will follow at the Hogtown Cemetery in Elliottville. Pallbearers: Ballard Fannin, Millard Dehart, Eugene Kelsey, Mike Bradley, Shawn Skaggs, and Willie Roberts.
