Alta Maude 'Sis' Kribs Grimshaw, age 84, of Caudill Cemetery Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at her residence. Born April 30, 1931, in Mayville, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late LaRue and Waneta Smith Kribs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Kribs and Donnie Kribs, and one sister, Ruth Torrey. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Francis L. Grimshaw, whom she married January 1, 1954; two daughters, Waneta Scharff of Morehead and Janet (Steve) Young of Fairgrove, Michigan; two sons, Ivan (Debbie) Grimshaw of Morehead and Ed (Erenia) Grimshaw of Bonnieville; 24 grandchildren; and a host of great and great-great grandchildren. Sis was a retired private caregiver. She was a member of the Holiness Missionary Church in Vassar, Michigan, and attended the Morehead First Church of the Nazarene. Her greatest enjoyment was caring for others. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Pete Hall officiating. Entombment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Columbarium. Pallbearers will be Ivan Grimshaw, Sr., Ed Grimshaw, Ivan Grimshaw, Jr., Steve Young, Stevie Young, Justin Young, Mikie Scharff, and Tim Torrey. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
