In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Garrett Dean (Olivia) Barker and Madison Jenelle Barker, both of Sandy Hook; one brother, Thomas Wayne (Cheryl) Fannin of Ashland; an uncle, Anthony Dean (Dorcus) Fannin of Catlettsburg; two nieces, Sierra Paige (Jordan) Enix and Gabrielle Reese (Chaise) Fannin; a great-nephew, John Thomas Bennett Enix; two great-nieces, Saylor Grace Enix and Renley Blake Poindexter, all of Sandy Hook; as well as a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wendell and Lucy Fannin; maternal grandparents, Randolph and Gladys Horton Pennington; and two aunts, Naomi Pennington Davis and Frances Kay Pennington.

Dawn was a 1990 graduate of Elliott County High School. She dedicated 28 years of service to the Kentucky State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation FIVCO region, making a meaningful impact in the lives of many.

Dawn accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She also loved spending time with her friends, always bringing laughter and warmth wherever she went. A true lover of music, Dawn enjoyed a wide range of genres—from country and pop to rock and roll.
