Alta Ruth Estep Gulley, age 94, of Cranston Road, Morehead, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2015, at her residence. Born September 7, 1920, in Logan, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Lake and Leatha Thompson Estep. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Ernest, Burnest, James, Odell, Ray, and Gilbert Estep, and two sisters, Grace Plank and Eula Faye Estep. Her husband, Elbert Gulley, passed away June 26, 1966, and a son, Billy Gulley, on May 6, 2001. Mrs. Gulley is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Judy K. Gulley and Gary and Judy L. Gulley, all of Morehead; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Roger Kidd of Morehead, and Reva and Andy Barnes of Springville, Indiana; one sister, Carrol Jean Estep of Bloomington, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gulley was a homemaker and formerly worked at the Senior Citizens Center and the Air Force Enlistment Office. She was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted noon Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Butch Kelsey officiating. Burial will follow in Estep Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
