Alma Oldfield Stamper, age 87, of North Wilson Avenue, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at her home. Born June 16, 1927, in Mt. Sterling, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Molly Crockett Oldfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie Lawson, Thelma Grisby, Pearl Fairchild, and Mary Catherine McFarland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Asa Clayton Stamper, who passed away April 6, 1999. Alma is survived by two sons, Vernal Clayton Stamper and wife Diana of Gratis, Ohio, and Danny Ray Stamper and wife Tressa of Morehead; one sister, Ruby Stamper of Morehead; one brother, John Oldfield of Stout, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Alma was a homemaker and loved cooking and reading. She was member of the East End Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Trey Ridenour, Jamie Stamper, Toby Gardner, Wes Prather, Josh Reid, and Gary Thomas. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, February 23, 2015, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral: Monday, February 23, 2015, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
