Allen Ray Plank, age 54, of Wallingford, Kentucky, born June 7, 1957, in Rowan County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2011, in his home surrounded by family. Allen battled with cancer over the past two and a half months and was lovingly cared for by his wife of 30 years, Leshia Lynn Ball Plank, whom he married February 27, 1982. He is also survived by his two sons, SSgt. Colby Plank, who is serving in the U.S. Air Force, and wife Tiffiny of Fairview Heights, Illinois, and Tim Plank and wife Angie of Garrison, Kentucky; one daughter, Lenora Click and husband Mike of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and a very special little granddaughter, Cambria Marie Plank, his -baby girl- of Fairview Heights, Illinois. Other survivors include his mother, Virginia Davis Plank Collins of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Larry Plank of Muncie, Indiana; three sisters, Kathy Howard and husband Jeff of Morehead, Kentucky, Donna Royse of Mayslick, Kentucky, and Mary Jane Bryan of Hico, Texas; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Plank in 1983, and two brothers, James Plank in 1994 and David Plank in 1980. Allen was a self-employed mechanic and also worked in recycling. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Minister Bill Teegarden officiating. Burial will follow in the Plank Family Cemetery on Cranston Road, Morehead. Pallbearers will be Sammy Caudill, Rick Little, Bob Green, James Ball, Charlie Davis, Danny Collins, and Harold Fraley.
