Obituary

Alice Ann Tedder Marshall, age 84, of Ringos Mills Road, Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016, at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg. She was born November 8, 1931, at Carlisle in Nicholas County to J. C. and Ruby Higgins Tedder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 7-year-old son, Charles Clinton Marshall (twin to Susan); a granddaughter, Angela Diane Lykins; a grandson, Ronnie Marshall, Jr.; and three sons-in-law, David Bailey, Anthony Jolly, and Paul Harris. Mrs. Marshall is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dewey Marshall, Jr.; one son, Ronald Dean (Barbara) Marshall of Panama City, Florida; five daughters, Pamela Diane Harris of Menifee County, Shirley Janice Jolly of Hillsboro, Peggy Lynn (Kurt) Sjolander of Park Falls, Wisconsin, Susan Bailey of Mt. Sterling, and Elizabeth Ann (Clinton) White of Flemingsburg; one brother, Jerry Tedder of Carlisle; two sisters, June (Jack) Guy of Carlisle and Helen Kay Hopkins of Sweetwater, Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marshall was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed taking care of her family and working on the farm. She was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Jim Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Flemingsburg. Pallbearers: Anthony Marshall, Shawn Marshall, Stephen Jolly, Cody Jolly, Bryan Burton, Matthew Burton, Eric Sjolander, and Charles Ashley Marshall. Honorary pallbearer: William Montgomery Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
