Alice Virginia Donlon Eckardt, age 84, of Dogwood Drive, Wellington, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012, at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky. Born February 2, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late George and Ella Sirr Donlon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Melvin Eckardt. Mrs. Eckardt is survived by one son, Paul Michael Eckardt of Missouri; seven daughters, Sue Kurgin of Clinton Township, Michigan, Carol Derewanko of Florida, Muriel Sluszinskis of Warren, Michigan, Virginia Hunt of Wellington, Kentucky, Ruth Hovanec of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, Pat Semen of Michigan, and Mary Hutchins of Florida; 19 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. Mrs. Eckardt was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. There will be no visitation or funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
