Alice Marie Adkins Murray, age 80, of Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Hoosier Village in Zionsville, Indiana.

She was born December 14, 1943, in Logan County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Virgil Adkins and Dorothy Fraley Adkins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Adkins and one sister, Linda Clark.

Alice is survived by two sons, Brent Murray (Edith) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mitchell Murray (Linda) of Palm Coast, Florida; one sister, Dorothy Thomas of Boston, Massachusetts; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Alice was a devoted mother and retired from Eastern Kentucky University as assistant professor of nursing. She was member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed collecting antique furniture and hand-blown glass. Alice will be greatly missed and remembered always.

A graveside service will be held Saturday 11 a.m., June 15, 2024, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Brother Joey Damron officiating.  There is no visitation.
