Alfred Edward McGlothin, age 56, of Clearfield Street, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Born April 30, 1951, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Oscar Davis McGlothin and Emma Deal Parsons McGlothin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Adkins. Alfred is survived by four sisters, Bessie Pernell, Lizzie Jessie, and Beulah Switzer, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and Nora Parsons of Union City, Indiana; two brothers, Jimmy McGlothin of Lexington, Kentucky, and Oscar McGlothin, Jr., of Morehead, Kentucky; three nephews, Derick McGlothin, Chris Parsons, and Herman David Adkins; and one great-niece, Delana Adkins. He was a former employee of the city of Morehead Maintenance Department and a self-employed laborer. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. H. G. Pratt officiating; burial will follow in Lee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Adams, Robbie Adams, Willie Ingle, Alex Wagoner, Jack Roe, and Larry Fannin. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
